Customer Services Representative

 

The leader in providing plastic, returnable pallets to commercial printers both large and small is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative to build the connection between the current market and future expansion markets for our organization. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for growing the organization with new business through sales management, strategic planning, and reporting and recording.

 

Perfect Pallets, Inc. was founded in 1992 in Indianapolis, Indiana, and over the last decade we have developed 4P, the Perfect Pallet Packaging Program, to benefit its customers both environmentally and economically. As an International program, 4P provides service to printers and newspapers all across North America from coast-to-coast and operates as a never-ending cycle. Empty pallets delivered to commercial printers across the country. These printers will manufacture printed material to be placed on these plastic pallets and the product is sent to thousands of newspapers via independent motor carriers.

Job Summary: The role of the  Customer Service Representative is to act as a customer liaison by providing product and services information and to resolve any emerging problems that customers might face with accuracy and efficiency. This position will also help meet weekly business goals by assisting fellow team members with their daily tasks. 

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls, email and text messages.
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods and tools.
  • Handle customer complaints; provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
  • Clerical office duties including data entry, copying, filing, organizing, word processing and operating other office equipment.
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Take the extra mile to engage customers.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Dynamics 365, Teams). 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of individuals.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.

 

Job Requirements:   

 

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative and/or office administration.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. 
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and concisely and interact effectively at all levels across the organization and customer base.
